This past Tuesday we looked at the work from contemporary artists Robert Motherwell, Sarah Charlesworth, Kara Walker, and Hollis Frampton whose pieces are all currently on exhibition in Abstract Resistance show at the Walker Art Center.
‘Zines have a history of going against convention and the mainstream with not only content but form, and the artist who we looked at in the gallery defied traditional ways of making and viewing artwork in their time.

Then we took a trip to Minnesota Center for Book Arts, where printmaker Anna Tsantir showed us some easy but elegant ways to fold and bind books.
